Day Two, Cocktail Three
I’ve long been a James Bond fan. I like both Sean Connery and Roger Moore in the role, although I have to admit that I do enjoy the style of the earlier Connery films. The style, the women, the drinks…what’s not to like? Of course, we all know that 007’s favorite drink is a vodka martini, shaken, not stirred. However, in Casino Royale he enjoys a Vesper. I’ve created my own twist on the Vesper. Called the Smokey Vesper, the small amount of scotch really adds just a hint of peaty smokiness to the drink.
The Smokey Vesper
- 4 oz Luksusowa vodka
- 1-1/2 oz Plymouth gin
- 1/2 oz Cutty Sark scotch
- 3-4 dashes Agnostura bitters
Add all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake to chill and pour into chilled a chilled coupe. Garnish with olives. This recipe makes two cocktails (who wants to drink one of these babies alone?). Mix a couple up, put your favorite Bond movie in and enjoy!
Cheers!
